An orphan's life

Dear Irina and Vladimir! I like your lessons of “Christian ethic” very much. I’ve learned a lot about God. I’m thankful to God that I got to know such beautiful people as you. Therefore I’ll always remember what you’ve taught us and I’ll never forget it. It seems for me that I’ve started to live a new life – that is much better and lighter. I’ve always looked forward for these lessons because I wanted to know more and more about God.

Thank you for everything….
With respect,

Malvina, (Kalinin orphanage #1)

I attend “Agape” Christian ethic lessons. It helps me to be merciful and polite. When AGAPE missionaries first entered our class I I realized at once: this is exactly what I need for they are so merciful, they help us, they tell such interesting stories to us. I’d love they are always by my side because I graduate from 9 grade this year and I’ll go to study in trade school and I’ll miss them very much. I’m very thankful for these people.

Dear Alexander Petrovich Fedorchuck!
We are children of Nikolaev orphanage #3; we’d love to hearty thank You for Your care about us - orphans! Our dear teacher of “Christian ethic” – Elena Gordienko gives us interesting lessons where we study Bible. All of us listen to her intently and we all like coloring books; we color them with a great pleasure. With all our class we pray for the well-being of our relatives. We already see a lot of good changes thank to the lessons of Elena Mihaylovna and our prayers.
We ask you very much – DON’T LEAVE US WITHOUT YOUR SUPPORT, PLEASE ASK GOD TO BE WITH US - ORPHANS AND TO BLESS US! Let GOD keep you. Thank You for all that You are doing for us!!!

With respect, pupils of 4th grade – Nikolaev orphanage #3

…. Lena I love you So much! I’m so thankful to you that you’ve helped me to know God! Dear God I’d love my behavior to be changed, and everything in my family to be changed – I want so much my mother’s attitude toward me to be changed, I want her to treat me with love and also my uncle Vitya to treat me with love! I want him not to drink alcohol any more and to love my mother so they’d never fight with each other….
I love You God!

Thank you, Lord. Thank you for reminding me that my ministry here is never pointless...

I’m thankful to the Lord that amidst all that He teaches me, he’s also teaching me how to ask forgiveness of the kids I work with...

Each and every visit to the orphanage, I see how their lives are lacking in so much that we often take for granted. More than anything, they simply need someone to support them, encourage them, just to hug them and love them…

Orphanage ministry is not easy, but let me just say this: even if you are tired, GO. If you feel like you’re not up to it, still go, simply go and love them. Just be there for them...
