An orphan's life

Answer to the prayer

We prayed with him again about the family. 10 days later he received answer from God.

I visit the Church of Christ the Savior in the Kherson. I am director of Sunday School. At the same time I work as teacher of Bible lesson in the orphanage for children 4-7 years old. This is my first year of work. I am glad that God allowed me to carry His Word to these kids. The Church is located next to the orphanage and I can lead the older children to the church.

October 10 we celebrated the 15th anniversary of the Church. The meeting was blessed. The Church met performance of children with big love. The kids had long time to practice. They learned songs and poems. Their cheerful voice sounded loud and touching.

But story is not about the holiday. I want to tell you about little boy, Vitya. During his speech, Victor loudest shouting into the microphone. He tried be the best. Why? The thing is that during the preparation he was not involved, he refused to act. The boy hoped that he would adopt very soon and he would go away. He waited day after day. But nobody came.

When day of the holiday came, all guys gathered to show their creativity. Before going to stage Victor suddenly became very upset that he don’t has a poem to glorify God. We silently prayed with him and I let him tell with another boy. So they did this. Joyful and happy boys came back from the stage. The Church prepared to them sweets. Children and adults were happy on this day.

After few days I met Victor. We prayed with him again about the family. 10 days later he received answer from God. Today Victor lives in Italy in the new family. «Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not». (Jeremiah 33:3). May God bless his future. Glory to Him and praise!

An orphan's life

"Child, I’ve been praying for you for years and years!
I ran into this woman one day, carrying a toddler and pulling his older brother along by the hand... I could see that she was drunk and in quite bad shape, so I stopped and did what I could to help her..."

Orphanage ministry is not easy, but let me just say this: even if you are tired, GO. If you feel like you’re not up to it, still go, simply go and love them. Just be there for them...

Sometimes feelings of loneliness are strong enough to make you wish you were dead! For children who grow up in orphanages, those feelings are what they live with, day in and day out…

I could just see the silent question in her eyes: "Who are you and what do you think you know about us, anyway?”

A story from one of Agape’s adaptation centers...  Yana had a very rough childhood, and she has long suffered from loneliness and poor self-esteem.
The past several months have not been easy for us. Yana has really put a lot of time and energy into searching for a job, but she has been turned down at every single place where she applied for work...
